For the listener who was looking for the classic Disney shows, look for the
excellent line of Walt Disney Treasures DVDs hosted by Leonard Maltin (Amazon
has them). They have released sets devoted to the classic cartoons such as
Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, and the Silly Symphonies. Plus, TV shows such
as The Mickey Mouse Club, Spin & Marty, Disneyland, and more. They are
releasing 4 more collections in December. Also in December, Disney is releasing
DVD collections of the True Life Adventures shows as part of the new Walt
Disney Legacy Collection.

You won't even need to buy a laserdisc player to watch 'em ;)

I wanted to comment on the tipping issue you discussed in this episode...a few things to note...

We spoke with a server at WDW about this because I have been in the service industry and wanted to know how it worked with the Dining Plan. He said that the tip percentage gets pooled together for the month and added to his pay MINUS TAXES. so the result is little to no benefit vs. cash that can be pocketed and not taxed.

Some places require you to claim a tip amount for which they suppliment your wages total for the govenment. Most places require you to claim a percentage of your total service bill from your worknight. for example, if you had ten tables and the total of all 10 bills(checks) equals $895.00, then you have to claim that you made 15% in tips on the $895. Whether you made that much or not! So if you had someone that tiped 10%...you get the shaft.

If you are getting the Dining for free, you should tip generously. If you paid for the dining...then you should give 3-5 bucks perperson in your party.

And Matt...you should lighten up on the Wonka Bars and tip 18% instead of 15%...

Oh,...one last thing...tip calculations for the government... INCLUDE the tax from your bill...so you should tip post tax not pre-tax...

Unless things have changed lately, Le Cellier has the best burger on property. You can only get it at lunch, but after you've had it, you'll never try anything else on their menu.

Hello All-
Thanks for everyone's response to my question about the classic shows. I
miss them at 4am!

As for the best burger, there is a burger that they make at Raglan Road which
isn't actually on the menu, but if you ask for it it's absolutely amazing! It has
an Irish mix called Chutney on it which is fantastic.

I have been on the Autotrain several times and it's always been a great
experience. The only tip I remember coming in handy was this:
If you have a minivan, Amtrak usually will tell you that you need to pay more
for a bigger space on the train for your car. But if you let a little air out of
the tires so they measure about 25psi instead of the normal 32, it should
have no problem fitting into the normal car sized spot even if you have a
roofrack. Tips from a sneaky father of mine!

I think you're wrong about the "Red Ticket". My feeling is that they were seeing a family go through the fast pass line that had a special asistance card. I am the father of twin 4 year-olds with autism. On our last visit, we followed the advice found on Deb Wills' allearnet.com and went to guest relations and presented them with a letter from our physician disclosing their autism. At that point we were given a special assistance card which on many attractions, is presented at the fast pass entrance.. It was a white card with red lettering. Think this is what your listener saw. Doubt he/she would choose to have a child with a disability so they could get one, however. Would consider loaning our family out for an all-expenses paid trip, though! :)

Long time listener, first time poster. You guys have a wonderful show which just pumps me up more for our upcoming Dec.6-12 trip. Thinking about attending some of the MouseFest events. Would love to meet you guys cause you have brought much joy into the life of my family. Keep up the good work!
