not 100 of the local currency. That's important to note.

Show was great. The two of them are always great. They add a lot to the show.

Nothing is more wonderful than the imagination. For, in a moment, you can experience a beautiful fantasy. Or, an exciting adventure!

Free dining vs. Annual Pass
Authored by: St. Chris on Tuesday, November 21 2006 @ 10:26 AM CST

Question, if anyone can answer: If I advance-book for next year while I'm at WDW in December, and I'm planning to arrive in late September and leave in early October, does the Dining Plan apply to any of my stay? All of it? Do I have to book two separate packages?

Hey, Scopa, you seem to know how to do the numbers for this sort of thing: I was considering trying to convert my Magic Your Way tickets this December (with the Dining Plan) to Annual Passes* (with the Dining Experience on one), since my trip next year will add on enough days to merit Annual Passes -- but does booking Magic Your Way for next year with the free dining plan end up as a better deal? Assume a seven- or eight- day stay both times. What do you think? (Not just Scopa, of course, if anyone else can figure it out. The calculations are dizzying.)

* I realize that this may simply not work, but I thought I'd ask Guest Services anyway when I get there.

Free Dining 2007
Authored by: martinmcintosh on Tuesday, November 21 2006 @ 03:39 PM CST
Do you have to visit now to book the free dining ? Or could I just get a code from someone and then book it? If so, anyone have a code?

Otherwise despite Matt's objection to having to book so far out, I am waiting until the day that I can book with free dining and then I am booking my trip for August 25-Sept 3 next year. In California our kids don't start school until after Labor Day so the timing works great for us.

So PLEASE keep the podcast updated with free dining info because they day I can book it, I will and then start my ADRs. I just don't want to have to book a trip and then rebook with free dining. Or maybe it is easy and I should just do it. Would I have to re-book ADRs? Any suggestions?

To book the free dining in 2007 do I need to stay in a Disney Hotel now?

Because I'm going to Mousefest but not staying on WDW property. Can I still go to one of the booking locations and book a Sept free dining trip?

I took advantage of the free dining and got an AP this year, after listening to WDW today.

BTW Just got my Scopa Towers Mousefest shirt, it's awesome!!!
Matt's Disney Greediness Rants

Waitaminnit... I thought it was Len's job on the show to rant about Disney dissing their customers. :)

I have to agree with you, Matt... whether it's finding a way to offer free dining but not offer it to very many people, creating a new show with the aim of cashing in on the Cirque du Soleil crowd, adding lots of separate admission events, hiking prices, or even outsourcing jobs (there's something in the Sentinel about how the bell services jobs are the next to contracted out), Disney seems to be on a mission to maximize profits at WDW no matter what. If the Company was hurting for money I could understand, but didn't they just come off an incredibly successful year?

OK, I'm done now. Nurse, where's my happy pill? ;)
