My Idea

What if we spent all the money for a new attraction and just plus what attractions are in place. Lets leave things like the Skyway stations that have not been used for 15 years alone.

Oh wait.....nevermind!

Seriously, lets bring back Mr Toad where Pooh's playful spot is. Then Pooh can hand the deed back to Mr Toad. I'm just saying....

I would like to take the money Disney would save by not building all the additional monorails and make the park fees, parking, food, etc. cheaper....

I have many ideas and I keep thinking of more so I'm just going to post what I've got in my head now.

-Taking out the Backlot Tour... and replacing it with a huge building where you can actually go and interact on some television sets. It could have some staying power because as new shows come in and old ones falls away, they can just replace them. Hopefully, Disney won't turn this into an advertising ploy like almost everything else.

-Bringing back Horizons. A dream of mine for years now.

-Adding new countries to the World Showcase.

-Just fixing AK in general. It's painful at times to walk in the gates and know that you're gonna be done in about 2 hours.

My number one would be to rip out Stitch's Great Escape and The Laugh Floor (Yes even before it's finished) and bring back my two favorite attractions in the Magic Kingdom, Alien Encounter and The Timekeeper.

But my realistic pick would be to add something....ANYTHING major at the Magic Kingdom. 1992 was the last time this park got an E-ticket attraction. I'm at the point now where I don't really care what it is, but the Magic Kingdom is now my least favorite WDW park and I spend much less time there than I used to. The changes to Pirates seem to be a positive step, but something new is definitely needed. And Philharmagic and Monsters Inc. isn't going to cut it.

My vote goes for Muppet Land. The restaurant idea sounded great - they could do so much with that. I also would like to see another country in world showcase.

If money wasn't an object. Build the EPCOT that Disney originally intended.
Temple

Ooohh, I like the idea of something "temple" based. I would love another coaster in MGM Studios (I LOVE Rockin' Roller Coaster), so maybe a temple themed coaster? Hey - one can dream, can't they?

- On another note, I was just at JimHillmedia.com reading a really old article about rides Disney was going to add to each park if Islands of Adventure at Universal took away Disney guests. It talked about the Villians ride going in MGM, Beastly Kingdom in AK, Mission: Space in Epcot (which we got....), and "Fire Mountain" in MK, which would have been a coaster based on the movie "Atlantis." I would've loved to see that one be built. If only Disney would follow through on the good rides....
here's the link to that article, if anyone is interested: http://jimhillmedia.com/blogs/jim_hill/archive/2001/01/01/311.aspx

Scopa: This particular project that I am thinking of will certainly put all projects on hold at disney world and every other disney operation-

Len: He's bringing back Walt!

BEST LINE IN SUCH A LONG TIME

I would say that Scopa's is the best.

MY IDEA: Turn Innoventions into DisneyQuest, and turn Downtown Disney into Walt's idea of EPCOT. I like disneyquest, and it certainly fits in with the future world theme. And all you have to do to Downtown Disney would be add houses, and convert some of the hotels into office buildings (yes, I know they don't oiwn them). They also would build some sort of roof/building around the general area. Peoplemovers would transport you from here and there. It wouldn't be a theme park, but it would have all of the stuff it has, and more!

Nothing is more wonderful than the imagination. For, in a moment, you can experience a beautiful fantasy. Or, an exciting adventure!
New Countries in Epcot are a great idea!

I really thought ground would have broken on the Spain pavilion by now....

Midway Madness should help the Studios when it debuts in...2008? Hopefully it's more than the Buzz Lightyear technology applied to the other Toy Story characters.

FYI on building a new monorail - this is a topic I studied in the past few years as
part of a business school project. The cost truely is the reason this isn't being
done. Disney does not "own" the monorails, they are contracted via a company
named Bombadier. A recent monorail in Las Vegas was built at a cost of 88
million by Bombadier. In our study, we proposed a 10 mile loop going to 6
hotels and 3 parks and figured a cost of about 300 million, but we could only
come up with revenues in the 200 million range.

Going all the way out to MCO will never happen, the cost would be way, way
too high.

I would move Jungle Cruise to AK.

Then build up Adventureland with a good coaster, a mid-range ride, and a family ride (maybe a Dole Whip theme).
