Disney Deals

You guys missed a chance to plug your friend Mary's website for good deals to stay onsite including the Swalphin. Just go to Mousesavers.com. I will say over the past two years, good deals have been hard to come by. Used to be you could get a good room rate with just a code, now you either need an annual pass or be a Florida resident for a good rate.

After a long night of baking christmas cookies, you really made my day when you answered my question about the books. I was worried that you guys wouldn't ever get to my question.

Thanks alot for letting one more question slide through Matt, and keep up the great work!

Book Recommendations
Authored by: pschnebs on Thursday, December 14 2006 @ 06:42 PM CST
In addition to Len's suggestions, I'd also recommend Jeff Kurtti's "Since The World Began" and Eve Zibart's "The Unofficial Disney Companion". Both are pretty good overviews of WDW's history. I'll second Len's recommendation of "The Architecture of Reassurance", but mainly for the illustrations - the text is a bit of a snooze.

Speaking of snoozing, was Mousefest that exhausting for you guys? You all sounded like you needed a nap! ;)
Episode 191 - book recomendations

like Pschnebs, I too will heartilly reccomend Jeff Kurtis Since the World began, if you want a book on WDW history and you don't have this YOU ARE MISSING OUT, this is the best comprehensive history of the WDW resort complex.

Also you mentioned hardcover and sofcover versions of the Epcot book by Beard, there are actually TWO hardcover versions, the earlier version has lots of preopening art, whereas in the later version many of the preopening art views have been replaced with photos of the exact same scenes from as close to the exact same angle as humanly possible, if you ever get the chance to look at these side by side it's sort of neat.
