Have to love that Epcot music. My personal favorite would be the current Living with the Land theme, even though most people I talk to prefer the old "Listen to the Land" theme.

On a side note, since it was mentioned in the show.....the Wonders of Life pavillion did open during Christmas time of last year. During this time Body Wars, The Making of Me, and Cranium Command were all operational. The only things that were not operational was the food court housed inside the pavilion and some of the interactive displays (ex. the old exercise bikes).

Hey guys, great show...except...how about the World Showcase? There is lots of great music there as well. I especially enjoy the International Gateway loop. I definitely think Epcot is the best park for music.

Looking forward to the Studios music show in Episode 529!
Got to agree with Matt and Mike N.

Hey Guys!
Great show! Being a band director, any discussion about music is always a great thing! Anyway, I have to agreed with Matt and Mike, the "Soarin" music is wonderful. I have the queue music, the attraction soundtrack with and without sound effects and the exit music. I could listen to that for hours! Also, something that wasn't part of your discussion was the couple performing groups that perform in different places around the park. I'll limit my discussion to just FutureWorld since that's what today's show covered. The Jammitors are also really, really good and entertaining. Just alot of fun. The group that I really miss is "Future Corps." They were the small group of brass and percussion, basically a small Drum and Bugle Corps, that performed in front of Spaceship Earth and in the Innoventions Plazas (sp?). Fantastic group of musicians!!! And so much fun. I am such a drum corps nut! I could spend hours listening and watching! I'm really disappointed they aren't around anymore. I'm looking forward to more music discussions! Keep up the great work!
Same song, different styles

This is not uncommon even in WDW. Just listen to the Haunted Mansion, it is the same song from start of the attraction to the end but in a different style in each area.

If at all possible I would love to hear the 4 of you interview a composer of any of the background music. Especially if you could find the composer of the Epcot future world background music. That would be fun.
Newell? Are you awake?

NO mention of the Innoventions loop?! The "Holy Grail" of freakin' bush music? My guess is that it's the most widely-played music at WDW, areawise, since it plays in Innoventions Plaza and out into the Future World East and West walkways.

You guys also overlooked "Air Battle," my favorite of the fountain songs. You're not confusing that with the Rocketeer track, are you?

The original "Tomorrow's Child," FYI, was part of the Epcot entrance loop on the 25th anniversary.

&BTW, I think the "play the same song in different, synchronized variations throughout the ride" thing got its first really big treatment in 1964. Hint HINT

Fountain of Nations Music

I would say this is THE most overlooked or underated "attraction" in WDW. The music is great and the choreography of the fountain with the music is awesome. By the way, you are all wrong. The best music played at the Fountain is the song "Standing in Motion". Or at least I believe that is what it is called. Very up tempo and the Fountain really comes to life during that one. The song lasts about 6 minutes.

Where do find this great music?

Can anyone suggest where one can buy/obtain this great background music at Epcot that was mentioned in this show? (Or any Disney music for that matter ... CD's, Websites, etc.)

In this Episode Mike Newell said the outdoor music loop was still the same one that had been playing since the park opened.

While the music that was the outdoor music loop does still play in that pavilion it plays in the Upstairs restaurant and the upstairs bathrooms, the outdoor loop I have heard the past few trips (including Mousefest last Dec.) is a new loop.

The new loop is still comprised of American Folk songs but they are disguised as a newer more electronic sort of music so they fit in better with the future world exerior, and if you don't know what to listen for you don't even realize that they are folk songs.
