Take Pictures in WDW?
Authored by: Rayman on Wednesday, April 16 2008 @ 01:17 AM CDT
Why would we want to do that? According to one of the moms on the Disney Mom Panel with PhotoPass there isn't any need to bring a camera.

Just kidding...I typically take 300-400 pictures per trip.

I typically download my pictures onto my laptop every night and start with a fresh memory card every day.
Fireworks Tip With Point/Shoot Digital Camera

Something that I always use with some decent success is to use the "burst" setting on the camera...taking multiple pictures in a row, keeping only the good shorts.
Bad Night Parade Spot
Authored by: Rayman on Wednesday, April 16 2008 @ 01:34 AM CDT
Another bad spot to take pictures for the night parades is in Liberty Square near the bridge on the Sleepy Hollow side for the same reason Scopa mentioned. The lights are on the opposite side. They goof up your camera's senors and make everything darker in the picture than they really are.

The big point in taking night parade pics is to know where the lights are...they need to be behind you.
Fantastic photos

I really enjoyed the photos Barrie posted to flickr.

Does she offer any sort of training seminars? If not, it sounds like a good Mousefest activity.

Pics at WDW, the best memory I have of taking pics at WDW involves 2 adutls, a blanket and a WDW security guard who followed us around for a few hours.
BEST memory ever --thanks Len and UG for creating the magic of one of the funniest and strangest weekends ever! :-)
I miss you guys!!! :-)

Loved the laid-back relaxed style of show. Great way to start the day! Barrie had fabulous tips and info. I'm going to send this episode to my photographer friend. More shows like this, please.

Um for anyone looking for a Digital SLR OR anything else photography related go to B & H Photo and Video ( http://www.bhphotovideo.com ) I have found them to be the BEST priced camera place on the net. They are in New York City so anyone in the mid Atlantic or Northeast can get really cheap shipping, others parts of the country are more in shipping but you make up for it with the discount you get.

Also you can get a Digital SLR for around $450 with a lens. Granted it is the stock lens but it will do for someone just starting out in the SLR field. Or you can go with a Advanced Point and shoot and get something along the lines of the Powershot S5 from Cannon. You can get the filters for the lens and it is around $300 for the camera. One of the down falls of this one is that you CAN NOT change the lens, you are stuck with it.
