The show was very funny! Good commandments that make good sense.

I especially enjoyed the musical break this week, too. Instrumental version of Red Barchetta-Rush Rules!

So the comment about a log/journal is a great one. I also use mine to kept track of CM that have gone above and beyond. EVERY TRIP, I've found someone that I think really made things special and I've sent a comment to Guest Relations about it. Although with the comments about them changing things I might have to change how I do that.

Does anyone know if they really are ignoring comments sent to <guest.relations@disney.com>

One of the commandments was "Thou shalt have a touring plan" if I remember correctly. That's one that I break just because I don't hit that many rides while I'm in the parks. As long as I get on Pirates and the Haunted Mansion I'm good. Everything else is gravy.

I just wanted to relay that I heard that one reason, maybe the main reason, the wristbands were eliminated for EMH is enviornmental. Disney is trying to eliminate their carbon footprint. I don't think the room card thing is going to last though. I think they should switch to stamping your hand if they are really concerned about the enviornment.

re: no more wristbands for Evening EMH -

This may be a little cynical, but I think it's that the guests without wristbands would have previously been encouraged to leave the park for just the resort guests. Now, that no one is wearing wristbands, cast members (except those at attraction queues) are not turning guests away...leaving more people to still SHOP AND DINE. Also, the wristbands must have been an easy expense to wipe from the yearly budget for the beginning of the new fiscal year.

Not sure who picked the opening credits music, but nice nice nice.. Never heard a classical version of Rush's "the Trees"

Touring Commandments

1. Thou shalt not eat in Fantasyland (or probably Dinoland)

2. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's ears
The funny hat that looks good in the parks won't look great won't look good in back home in Omaha.

3. Thou shall take naps
They aren't for the kids, they are for the adults, so that you can keep up with the kids

4. Thou shalt leave when you are no longer having fun
At least get a break, swim, do something else.

5. Thou shalt not be ignorant
(read things, talk to people, be prepared)

6. Thou shall not pay full price
(eventually everything goes on sale, use discounts, coupons, check AP, AAA, mousesavers.com, allears.net)

7. Thou shalt have a touring plan
If you don't priorities and a plan, you WILL get stuck in long lines, and you won't have fun

8. Thou shall be considerate
If there is a line cutter, or a foot stepped on, let it go. Help make it the happiest place on Earth.

9. Thou shall not even go to Dinoland
If you are old enough, and experienced the real thing the first time, you can walk right past it.

10. Thou shalt call it Pecos Bill's (not Pico's Bill's)
Call the attractions by the right names, or you will go to Mickey's Judgement Tent

11. Thou shalt make ADRs early
Especially if you are thinking about the dining plan
(and only one ADR per meal, don't double/triple book)

12. Thou shalt make use of Extra Magic Hours
If you can get in early, or stay late, use those hours (it is one of the huge benefits of staying in a Disney hotel)

13. Thou shalt use the FastPass
It saves your time: unless you like waiting in line, get a FastPass

14. Thou shalt be an early bird
You need to see the rope drop, if you want to get a lot done

15. Thou shalt write a trip report
Even if you don't share it, it will help with your next trip. What did you like, and not like.

16. Thou shalt be flexible.
It rains sometimes. Attractions close. Enjoy something that is not on your plan, or have a plan b.

17. Thou shalt not bite off more than thou can chew.
You can't get everything in the world done in a day or week or probably month.
Unless you eat entire cheesecakes at a single sitting, it is better to see less and enjoy all you do,
and write down what you want do do next time, rather than kill yourself trying to do everything.

I enjoy all of your shows VERY much and this was one of your best. You guys had me in stitches again. Great Commandments. I journal as well, if not throughout every day, I journal at meals and back in my room at the end of the day. Thanks for another bundle of laughs along with useful information.
