We had lunch on Sunday there and I totally agree with you on the T-Rex cafe. It is extremely loud, my boys that are 4 didn't care too much for it, the food was good, but extremely pricey. The service was good but our waitress disappeared once we got our food. After we finished our meal, we saw her twice, once to get the bill and another to bring it back. This is totally a one and done restaurant. I wouldn't say, don't go, but as I told a co-worker that's going next week. Go once and you'll see what I mean and you'll never go back. It's a one time experience.

Based on your show and experiences at Rainforest Cafe, I don't think we'll be visiting T-Rex.

At H&V, we had the same waitress two years in a row. Both times we saw her for the intial drink order then not again until she brought the bill. If we wanted re-fills, we had to get them ourselves. The food was fine and the kids liked the desserts, but I felt the price increases over the past three years, which included special holiday pricing for Flag Day last June, moved the value of the meal from the good to the poor deal category. Don't get me wrong, the entree and side selections were good, but for $27 per person, we could have at least gotten a refill on a diet coke.

Ironically, they do have one dish there Matt might like, given his ahi predilection: The ahi appetizer mocked by Scopa. I had it when we went for a late after-park dinner and it was very good--better than a similar dish they serve at the Poly sushi bar.

It was very noisy, and the screaming pterodactyls got to be a bit much after awhile, but I think it's a much more interesting place to eat than Rainforest. I would go back to T-Rex a hundred times before I'd go back to Rainforest.
