My family has been to the 'World 4 times over the past 10 years, and we always stay at the Poly. It's our home away from home. On our most recent trip, we tried the Pop Century for a week, then moved to the Poly for the second week (I know... 2 weeks... yikes). While yes, the Pop Century was more friendly to our budget, there's no place like the Poly for all the reasons you called out in your show. From the superb themeing, the guest services, Ohana and it's many events for the young kids (which we have three), it's simply worth every penny. Which is precisly why we "save up" for a these trips.

On our last visit, my middle son teared up on the day we were checking out. When asked why, he simply said "I love staying here... why do we have to leave?" Well aside from dad's now empty wallet, that memory will always drive us back. All due respect to the other wonderful resorts that Disney provides, the Poly is the one for us.

I just got back from WDW, and stayed at Wilderness Lodge for the first time. I have been to the Contemporary, Poly, and Boardwalk. Wilderness Lodge is my new favorite. The lobby is very cozy. Wilderness Lodge costs several hundred dollars less than other deluxe resorts- I think this is due to the fact that it is not on the monorail. I bumped up to club level, and it was way less than a stay at Boardwalk. If you have children, you want to eat at Whispering Canyon- the food is really good, the best brisket I have ever had! I like O'hana, but sometimes the food is hit or miss. If you eat at Whispering Canyon, make sure you ask for ketchup!
