Totally agree with you guys. Pirates is really cool. However I haven't been there in 8 years and sounds like nothing has really changed since I was there. I would save your money and just play the video games at the resorts if you want to play video games. Also there is/(or was) a video game arcade right outside Space Mountain if you just have to play video games. Its much better to use your options for the water parks. Great show. Thanks for everything that you guys do.

I just went a couple of years ago and had a blast here. And though I too only stayed 3 or 4 hours, I wished I could have spent even more time here. As part of Generation X, it was great to see some of the classic Arcarde video games here and play them again without feeding the machines quarters. With the prices of some games well more than 25 cents to play these days, $42 doesn't actually seem too bad. I enjoyed some of the virtual reality games here too, however, the video games were what will have me coming back here. Also, when I purchased my WDW Park ticket, it included the WaterParks and more option and since it was also purchased from one of the few official discount Disney distributors, the additional cost was actually very small to me. Of course, your mileage may vary. Oh, one more tip, as this is in a building, you ARE out of the sun (or cold if you went when I did in January) and if you walked the typical 17 miles (using the Guide, of course ;-) in the previous amusement park the prior day, then this offers a bit of relief as the walking is less intense. (In other words, this is a good way to rest after that first day, and still be doing something.) I agree some of the VR stuff could use some updating, however, I like to think of this as one of the hidden gems at WDW. I look forward to my next trip here! (year or 2 at most I hope? :-)

i saw the preview too back in the early 90s. one thing you guys left out, they showed the audience the server farm of about 20 silicon graphics workstations it took to power the ride for just one rider. my rough guesstimate is that this is about $40,000 just for the computers, whereas today you can get better performance out of a $200 Wii.
A totally unrelated question......

Ok, this has been bugging me for a while now, and I have to ask....

I started listening to WDW Today over 3 years ago. You seem to have a solid brand in place, having done the show for 4 years now. So, this other podcast comes around and calls themselves WDW****Today. ( I refuse to even give them a plug). Since they also have been known to steal pictures and info from other sites. In my opinion, a total rip-off take on your name. Probably, if a user looks up WDWToday in Google or Yahoo, theirs will also show up. If you ask me, it's a real crappy thing to do. They don't even put on a good show, which makes it worse, but I'm not going to even go there.

Now, I noticed there is a WDW planning app in the iTunes store called WDWToday. Released by another website. another total rip-off of your name. I guess my question would be, are there any scruples in the Disney online world, that would make a person think twice about naming another site after an already existing one? At least a run through Google would show that the name already exists in one form or another.

I would say no, since these seem so blatant. It just irks me. I see the hard work you do, both with the podcast and the live shows, not to mention the work on the UG, MWR, SC & AEN, and hate to see someone else ride your coat tails. Since the WDWToday app costs money, my concern that their sub-par work might reflect on you guys.

I'd have to agree with you all. Disney Quest is a "nice to visit" but I wouldn't make it a special trip. I always enjoy playing some of the old games like Pacman, Defender, Moon Patrol etc etc but if I didn't have a PAP I probably wouldn't pop in there that often. The Signiture games are a lot of fun....once, but they are well and truly showing their age

All in all, fun, but.......

We went to DQ when it was in Chicago years ago....didn't care for it. I really have no desire to waste valuable park time or shopping time playing video games.
