Proposals
Authored by: jcodirewolf on Wednesday, July 01 2009 @ 07:41 AM CDT
Instead of proposing at MK durning wishes. I would use the California Grill, durning wishes. Let the staff at the Grill know what you are doing, and I suspect they can make it super special for you.

From the way the question was phrased I suspect you where looking for them to do something for you with the Wishes show, and I doubt there is much they can change about it, from my understanding of how it's run, the techs pretty much push the play button and it runs.

You could also use Citrico's, depending on your taste in food. But even though I think the food has gone down hill at CG I would still do anything special there. We got married at the wedding pavilion and had our reception at the Grill.

I wanted to post a recommendation for the listener who wanted to know about renting an ECV. We took my grandma with us to Disney World last year. She can walk short distances, but definitely can't walk as much as Disney World requires.

We rented an ECV from Walker Mobility in Orlando. They were extremely easy to work with, and the scooter made all the difference in the world to my grandma. She was able to keep up with the group and not get too tired out.

They have several choices of different ECV's to fit everyone's needs. Also, they have detailed instructions and a video showing how to dis-assemble the scooter in case you want to do that and put it in your car.

Once we ordered, they simply dropped the ECV off with Bell Services at our resort. We had no problems with the scooter at all (but they do have a number you can call if you have a problem). We just plugged it in every evening to re-charge. Once we were ready to head home, we dropped the scooter off with Bell Services, and Walker Mobility came and picked it up. Super easy!

I highly recommend them. Here's their website: http://www.walkermobility.com/index.php.

With the desert party, it is completely booked August 1-24th. You can try calling in each day to see if there is an opening.

First of all, let me thank Len for the mention of the blog article. Yes, I am the author of the article. It can be found at http://blog.touringplans.com/2009/05/12/touring-plan-tips-walt-disney-world-visitors-mobility-impairments/

Please let me know via the comments on the blog article if you have any questions, need more information, etc. I don't promise to know everything, but I usually know where to go to find out whatever I don't know.

I think that that couple should totally go to Victoria and Albert's. We went on our honeymoon and it definitely the highlight of our trip. If you "upgrade" your hotel, that is nice, but Victoria and Albert's is really special and it's an experience that you will never forget. I know it's hard to imagine how a restaurant can be an "experience", but in true Disney style they make the evening really special. From start to finish - you will not regret the money you spend there! Not only is the food extraordinary and the wine list incredible, but there are magical little touches throughout that make the experience unforgettable. It's very romantic!

Regarding the epilepsy concerns, I might also add Dinosaur as a ride to avoid. There is a point where you experience "time travel" and there are some bright flashing lights that might cause problems.
