Hey now, my 2 girls (11 and 7) like the Rainforest Cafe. I wish you'd stop picking on that restaurant. It beats spending big bux on a Disney buffet and getting the same type of food.

There is a Rainforest Cafe in the mall in Katy, Texas. So there are still Rainforest Cafes still out there.
Just saying, cause you said there aren't any left besides the two in Disneyworld.

Matt--It must be the AK Dinosaur ride flashback that's getting to you. Maybe you can't stand the restaurant because of the similarity? I've never been there so I'll take your advice and skip it! : )

Rainforest Cafe isnt only in Disneyworld. Its a chain, theres one in the Menlo Park Mall near where i live, as well as San Francisco and all around the US. Personally, the Rainforest Cafe is one of my fav resturants at the World :)

I'd like to put in another vote for liking the Rainforest Cafe. We eat there whenever we can during trips to Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Resort. The closest locations to us are in Tennessee and Illinois, which are hours away by car, and if we have already travelled to Disney, we'll just eat at Rainforest there. LOL. (nothing cool is truly close to us in Kentucky.) So no, we aren't jaded or anything about Rainforest Cafe because there's one close to us. Nope! It is still special for us and we really do enjoy eating there. We like the atmosphere; if you aren't sitting close to any of the animatronics, it isn't too loud, at least for us. You get large servings of food for the price, and we do like the food. They have so many choices on the menu and there's something for everyone. I understand that everyone has their own opinions about dining options, so I wanted to give another one. It's all about balance! --Amy From Kentucky

I've never been a big fan of Rainforest Cafe...it's loud and the food is way overpriced for the quality.

Oddly enough, we tried T-Rex to say we tried it and it ended up being a lot better than we thought. The food was expensive but seemed somewhat worth it.
    Basin, anyone?

I know it's a bit of a strange thing to add... but almost every trip I do some window shopping in Basin. I've never bought their stuff (mostly because I don't trust it to make it home in one piece or without making a mess), but there's something cool about killing some time checking out their very odd soaps.

Agreed on Earl of Sandwich (a must), but if I'm craving pizza, it's Wolfgang Puck Express for carryout.

But by far the one that I always seem to walk through is the Days of Christmas. There's just something mellow about wandering through there...

I actually want to say this isn't a bad shop if you have a cigar aficionado in your group.

For us, that is where my hubby hangs out while I'm doing other shopping. If it weren't for that store, getting him to go shopping w/me would be a tough sell.
And when I finally catch up to him, it is interesting to watch them roll the cigars. So while not the biggest or best cigar shop & being a tad over priced, it does serve a purpose.

Oh I'm with the panel on this one - we've eaten twice at Rainforest Cafe, and it wasn't good. The food was mediocre, the prices were high, and the place was too, too loud! We did think they had a cool gift shop, but that was about it! I think the only place we've eaten in the World that was worse than RC is Planet Hollywood!
