Just a note about the show.

I believe the Be Our Guest Restaraunt is going to have 2 sides. One side will be sit down abd the other side will be Gaston's Tavern which will be a counter service in the day and sit down in the evening.

Another update which was confirmed yesterday is a an update to Muppets to digital 3D, which is much needed! Hopefully they will keep the queue the same though.

Just a thought about the Universal contract with Marvel. Universal has 4 attractions based on Marvel characters. Disney cannot use those characters in their Disney World theme parks (East of the Mississppi). However, Disney World can use the other 4996 characters in their Disney World parks. If Universal wants to use the other 4996 characters they will need to get Disney's permission (update the contract) in order to use them. Basically, we won't be seeing Spiderman, Hulk, Dr. Doom, or X-Men anytime soon at Disney World, but we could very well see the other 4996 characters at Disney World. That's how I heard it worked.

I find it odd and concerning that the Fabulous Annette has been missing from your podcasts for the last 3 weeks. Please let us know that she's OK on Wednesday's show. Thanks!

I have been to Disneyland and DCA more times than anyone should, and from my recollection there is no Little Mermaid Dark Ride @ DCA or Disneyland
    No E-Ticket dark rides, Matt?

I think Haunted Mansion, Spaceship Earth, and Pirates of the Caribbean qualify as Dark Rides and E-Tickets, yes?

    Great show folks!

Also, a point of clarification, Universal Studios ONLY has exclusive theme park rights to characters from the Spider-Man, Hulk, X-Men, Daredevil, and Fantastic Four franchises, as I understand it based on reporting by the LA Times. Any other property not already an attraction can be developed by Disney as a theme park ride (such as Iron Man, Thor, and some of the Avengers). Anywhere.

I for one would like to see a Thor tie-in for Maelstrom, perhaps the World of Motion: Stark Industries Proving Ground when GM decides not to renew the contract. LOL

Heck, ANY unsponsored attraction should get under the Stark Industries banner. Think of Wonders of Life with the new mini-arc reactor technology...

I just wanted to stop the comments for a second and say...

I also believe that there is BOTH a new restaurant ("Be Our Guest") and a counter service ("Gaston's Tavern").

As for Pooh's Playful Spot, if the designs leaked in July is accurate (and from the concept art, it seems to be (more on that in a second), then PPS will survive, but move slightly, directly across from the Winnie The Pooh attraction. The Cinderella and Aurora attractions will wrap around the back and sides of it.

Now, there is one difference I've noticed with the concept art and the designs - Dumbo's location. The designs show it basically occupying the area of Toontown, but the art shows it more to the south, perhaps impinging on the Tomorrowland Speedway. That could be artistic license though because they wanted to make sure the Dueling Dumbos could be seen.
    Marvel Stunt Show

So, I think we all love the Indiana Jones Stunt show at MGM. But, it's been exactly the same for 20 years. Even the jokes. I think if they ever want to bring the Marvel characters into the park, they should retool the Indy show and make it into a Marvel Stunt show. Maybe the Avengers or something like that.
    More boy stuff please...

Sorry I am about a week behind in podcasts. I agree with the guest of this episode that we need more boy related things. When I saw Beasts castle I assumed boy but it won't be. Although I don't really blame disney they are going with what sells. Lets face it a 10 year old girl could have a princess backpack, lunch pail, pencil, shirt and no one thinks twice. A 10 year old boy with anything disney or "themed" is riticuled.

Also, I agree with the Star Wars update. I was really excited. Once of my favourite rides getting some much needed TLC. Then BAM what do we get the pod race scene. I skip this scene when I watch the movie. Yet another disappointment. They in my opinion distroyed the attic scene in Haunted Mansion now this.

    Love the show.

Here's how I sort of imagine Marvel's integration into the Parks...

I see a new News Paper stand on Mainstreet where guests will be able to purchase all the current issues of Marvel Comics/Books.

Now I had some other humorous comments to add to this, but a brain fart has diverted those comments somewhere else for now. Oh well, keep up the great work! Hope to someday meet y'all!
