I'm suprised none of the panel came up with the Fountain of Nations for Epcot. It's (sort of) central to the park and kind of like a hub for the park - everyone walks past it to get to where they're going. It's the perfect alternative icon :)

I would put in a vote for the void that is the Epcot lagoon. You don't focus on the water but on the facades around the cul-de-sac that is the World Showcase. But then again, I look at these things rather deeply, eh?

For me, Epcot's alternate icon is the American Adventure. What Spaceship Earth is to Future World, the American Adventure is to World Showcase. It is the anchor at the far end of the park & of course was originally going to be at the entrance to WS
