I agree that the new Script is not as good as older ones, I think that another factor is that the musical score is not as good as the last one. The Iron's score is great I listen to it on its own all the time.

SSE: The interactivity on the descent is just to keep you distracted while nothing is happening. It is also redundant, since the activities available after exiting the ride are FAR better. In the old descent, the vision of a world united in a global network is largely accomplished, but that's no reason why it needed to change -- the whole ride is about the history of communication, and what was previously a vision of the future (and it turns out to have been a largely accurate one) is now the present, but should have remained part of the story. (Actually part of what was shown is a lot more than Skype and still far from an everyday occurrence, where schoolchildren from different countries were participating in a joint interactive adventure. Yes that much is common enough, but they were designing the adventure in real time!) Also the former diorama showing the (literal) lines of communication reaching from the city up into the sky always brought a tear to my eye, even more so when it became a (figurative) reality. I had the opportunity to ride the new version on what I believe was the first day of soft opening. There were people surveying those who got off the ride. I said a number of things, but most important was "Where is SIEMEN's vision of the future of communication?". Still waiting.

So while I too like the new scenes and wish that they could have at least done something more decorative for the return trip down I do have to give them credit for making the ride more friendly to children. My daughter's always humored us by going on Space Ship Earth, but after the refurb she's excited to ride to do the cartoon part. So a mixed review on the refurb from me, but a huge thumbs up from the 7 year old crowd.

I would say I am most disappointed in the rehab in Boat ride in the Mexican Pavilion, in EPCOT. While it definitely needed a rehab, I think whatever educational value, the old ride had is now gone. I am very disappointed.

I've never liked LMA...saw it once and that was too many times. If they don't remove LMA and bring the Backlot Tour back, then they need to totally remove it. Catastrophe Canyon is nice, but it's just not worth it.

Did I just zone out, or was there no mention of the recent Space Mountain rehab? I am going to have to listen again.
