Note for Mike Scopa:

I recently came across a series of art called "Fairy Tale Fantasies" at http://www.jscottcampbellstore.com/js...rints.html

Belle is featured (maybe NSFW), you mentioning her in this episode reminded me of your affection for her.

Duck Castration Really ?

Yep, It's for real, If I recall the CM explanation correctly, it's something to do with conservation of native populations and (I Think!)Mallards being non native. Anytime one hits the vets table, off come it's essentials. If I recall rightly, they are able to overun the native species either by breeding with them and having dominant characteristics or competing for habitat, and winning.

I also saw some budgies being examined on a different trip, but that wasn't nearly as interesting...they couldn't even do simple maths, never mind Calculus.

I've uploaded a picture of the duck, though it's not that clear, it's the only one I have.

Episode 651 - Dreams

In the Epcot Dreams song, the kids all say different things in their native languages. I don't speak all the different languages, but can translate a few. One of the kids dreams of a cheeseburger in paradise, another dreams of no special holiday pricing surcharge at his "land" in Epcot, and I think the Chinese kid was apologizing for 9 Dragons.

Just FYI - Jiko (It's not Jiko's it's Jiko people!!) does not serve breakfast as Guy mentioned in his e-mail. Boma does though, so maybe he could go there on his day outside of the parks.

Contemporary Game Room

I was almost ready to cry when you read that E-mail, because I knew as you were reading it that it was not going to end well for Amy at all. When I was a kid Walt Disney World was the first place I was ever cut loose by my parents and told to be back at a cretin place by a given time. I remember navigating the Disney transport system of buses with colored flags and boats and monorails to River Country, then to that arcade. Back then video games ruled, and that was the game room to go to. That place will always be special to me because on every family trip after that when I got cut loose for the day the other destinations changed, but I always found my way to that arcade. Even on the trip I took two years ago I took my family to eat at The Wave just for the memories of the arcade. As for the location of the arcade, here is how I recall it. The present entrance to The Wave is a little offset and narrower than the old hallway entrance was. You would enter the hall and head down a little way as you walked there was a small sitting area on the right, a kids play area, and I think a quick serve counter (I wasn't there to eat so I don't know what was on the menu). That hall was centered about where the bar is today, and the entire dining room and probably all of the service and storage areas for The Wave were the Arcade! While they didn't have every game, they had a lot, I don't recall there ever being pool tables, but ski ball, air hockey, and some sort of basketball game were there, and lots of video games and pinball. My guess is that Arcades just aren't the draw that they once were, but I will miss that place. I feel your pain Amy.
