My husband and I love the Swan because we always get lost in the Dolphin!

It would be interesting to know how the guest profile differs between the Yacht Club and Beach Club guests. Our favorite resort is the Beach Club, and we would pick about 10 other properties before staying at Yacht Club (I know, might not make sense).

We like the Beach Club pool because the pool bar makes great Mojitos and you can spend a terrific pre-nap afternoon there. Not sure that the profile guest (who seems to me a bit more formal or reserved in attitude) would agree with me. I can see the Yacht Club guest having a different opinion about waterparks and public transportation even outside of the Disney facilities.

(I sure hope that doesn't come across wrong . . . I'm just saying that different folks see the same amenities from different perspectives - neither are right nor wrong.)

I have yet to listen to this episode, but my family stayed at the Beach Club back in 2006. We really enjoyed it and liked the atmosphere of the lobby and just that it had the nice pool and the closeness to Epcot. We went to the Yachtsman Steakhouse for lunch one day, and noticed the differences in the lobbies. The Yacht Club's lobby was dead, which we thought was weird because we had just been in the Beach Club's, which was busy. We guessed that the Beach Club was more for families and that the Yacht Club was for older couples. That was just our guess, though.

If I had to guess, I'd think that the reason the Beach Club gets a higher score on the pool is that people that really like Stormalong bay are more likely to choose the Beach Club over the Yacht Club, while people that stay at the Yacht Club don't care as much about the pool, and don't give it as glowing of a score.

I was also surprised that in talking about Twin Resorts that you didn't mention the All-Star triplets and the Port Orleans twins.

Len's Stormalong Bay theory would make more sense if there were separate entrances, but everyone enters at the same point, across from Beaches and Cream. I think it's because people who book BECAUSE of the pool are more likely to book at Beach Club, while people who book at Yacht Club don't care as much about the pool.

Swan has better rooms and better beds. Swan has two queen beds but Dolphin has two double beds in typical rooms. Restaurants don't matter as with the covered walkway they are all convenient for guests at either hotel.
