Great show, thanks for the details. Now for my question....

You explained how Lines is different from the Disney downloadable application for Verizon but I was wondering how it is different from Disney's mobile wait time site found at http://m.disneyworld.go.com

They even have a Disneyland version available which I am not seeing on Lines.

Hey, Can someone help me out? I looked on the Wiki and did not not see it, but when did Marvin first show up on the podcast? I love his theme song. Thanks

One thing no one mentions is how great lines is when you are planing a trip. It really helps you to understand what the crowd calendar level translates into wait times.
Lines vs. User-submitted times

I've never checked out Lines before as I had thought it was for iPhones only (and I have a Blackberry). So once I found out it was for all sorts of platforms, I eagerly checked it out. Nice!!!

It does appear, though, that the user-submitted times were much, MUCH greater than the Lines official times. Is there just that much variability? Are the official times based on "norms" or are they updated real-time based on user-submitted (or "official user"-submitted, i.e. Official Unofficial Guide team member) times?

...just curious! :)

FUNNY! Did anyone catch this?

At 12:17 into the podcast Matt asks Len if you are using the Lines app along with the Touring plans? As Len replies he uses the phrase "whip out lines". Matt says at 12:40 under his breath but still can be heard, "whip it good"

LOVE IT!! Love the Devo reference!

Did anyone else catch this???

As a local, I'm lovin' Lines! It helps me decide if it'll be a ridin' rides day or a grab a drink & stroll day, depending on the crowds. Having only an ipod touch, I check it before I go. I'm looking forward to it being accessible on other mobile devices (like an LG non-super smart phone)

To all podcasters, but mostly Len (and Fred and Henry).

Back during the Star Wars Weekend Event in 2009 (which coincided with the all day, every day, rain until you drown event) I rode TSMM almost all day on a particularly rainy day. Even though the queue had a roof, there was still a couple of inches of water on the floor. Yuck. Now, I'm addicted, but I know how long the queue is going to take just by looking.

Interesting day at Toy Story Midway Mania, Tuesday, 2/23. The posted wait time for stand by at TSMM was 40 minutes, yet I was able to ride 3 times in 1 hour 10 minutes (stand by) starting at 10:45am.

Earlier in the day, I hadn't even looked at the wait times. Meanwhile the wait times continued to agree with Lines rather than reality throughout the morning. When I used my FastPass after lunch, around 2:30pm, the wait said 50 minutes, but as I passed the stand by queue, the line was more at the 20 minute mark. Bizarre? Or are they using Lines, too? ;-)
