I also was wondering who this is supposed to target. I think the annual ticket price increases combined with the dismal economy have really alienated a section of Disney's visitors that they may have taken for granted as even the hardcore Disney fans stay home. Maybe, just maybe, after so many years of chipping away at little things that were offered in the parks (like nightly Fantasmic showings, or the "Eat To The Beat" concerts being shortened to just weekends, or the Country Bear Jamboree Holiday overlay, or a moving Yeti, and the list goes on...) this could be a start at trying to increase the value perception of the ticket for repeat guests. I'll hope that's the case anyway. And I can't wait to see the Main Street Electrical Parade this summer!

I don't know if I'm the target audience for these changes. I live in Florida and have had annual or seasonal WDW passes for 8 years and visit WDW between 10 and 20 days a year. I also have annual passes to Busch Gardens and Universal Orlando. I like theme parks but not necessarily Disney. I do not really care which parade or fireworks or light show is being presented as long as there are ones to watch when I'm there. I like the spectacle of it all. These changes will be appreciated as an attempt to keep things fresh but after I leave, I really won't remember many details. I would just like a bigger variety of experiences both big and small.

Local, AP holder here. I would rate this a C+. They'll be neat additions/changes while you're already there, but I wouldn't make any special trips just for it. I'm most looking forward to the later hours at AK. It's like a different park at night.

It seems to me, this is an attempt to lure a few people in and away from Universal who will be opening some of the elements for the Harry Potter theming being added. Without this, they don't really have anything new and exciting to compete with them.

For me, I am most upset, because this summer I am heading to Disneyland and was excited to be able to see the Main Street Electrical Parade after all these years. Now it won't be there. Maybe Disneyworld is in my future after all.

I am incredibly excited for this. The Main Street Electrical Parade was the highlight of my last Disney World trip...10 years ago. To have them premier it ONE WEEK before I am going is amazing beyond belief. I almost cried with joy when I heard the news. (I know, I'm weird.)
