I have noticed some small decreases in service over the past few years. As an example, at Biergarten, the hostess attempted to seat our family of five at a table that already had a family of four. The tables normally seat 8. They had put three chairs right next to each other in a section that normally had two chairs. This meant that everyone had to get up and be seated at the same time. Very poor set-up. There were plenty of open tables, so I guessed that less servers were on duty to service the tables that had guests. I noted similar examples at other TS restaurants. Between the price increases and service decreases, we quit eating TS meals on property and now eat only QS in the Parks or TS off-site. On the plus side, I noted last year that the service in the retail shops had improved with a more knowledgeable staff whose instant answer to any question was not, "Go check at Guest Relations."
PrePaying PhotoPass

We've always waiting until AFTER our WDW trips to take advantage of the prepay discount for PhotoPass deal.

If at the end of our trip we feel as if we have taken a good amount of PhotoPass pictures (you can go check them at the parks and some resorts) we will "prepay" once we arrive home and BEFORE we log into the PhotoPass account and enter all the codes from the cards.

It definitely can be done!

Dining Issues

Before Disney removed the "Tip included in the Dining Plan" bonus, we had major issues with the dining plan. Both at Rainforest Cafe and Planet Hollywood (I know, non-disney restaurants), our 20 - 30 minute meals took almost 2 hours. At Planet Hollywood, we were told that we would get a salad because it was included. We didn't want a salad, just burgers, drinks and desert. But the waitress wanted a bigger tip, so added food that we didn't want just so the tip would be bigger, at least thats what we assumed because we didn't order half the stuff we got.

At Rainforest Cafe, our waiter knew the tip was included and took his time with us. Took 20 minutes to get our appetizers, another 30 minutes to get our meal, and 20 more minutes to get our desert. Oh, and the restaurant was EMPTY!!

Disney restaurants were better, and we didnt' complain too much. But it was a disappointment.

With the new plans not including the tip, things have gotten better, and the Rainforest Cafe is no longer included in the plan. Our food comes a bit faster, drink refills actually happen before we have to ask, and we are usually on our way in a faster fashion. So I'm not seeing the issues that we had prior to the tip being included.

Two things

1. Matt, I totally remember that post show clip montage with all the Disney scenes at the end of the old animation tour. Now, when I hear the old animation tour pre show on mouse world radio I'll head out to YouTube and find a disney clip montage: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpX5nScW-KY

2. Kiss my grits? Hilarious!
