Alien Encounter

While Stitch's Great Escape is a bad attraction, when my family first rode Alien Encounter a couple of months beforeit closed, in August 2003, my dad and I were both bored to tears. I just don't see how this was considered a great attraction: it seems as if it would either be too scary or (in my opinion at least) boring.

Scopa, if you do put your pictures of the Deconstruction of Horizons on Facebook, why not put in them on in reverse order, so that it looks like Horizons is being rebuilt? :-)

A timeless attraction I can never see being replaced is the Beauty and the Beast show at the Studios. My father and I discussed this in depth on his past trip because I was recently in a production of BATB at my community theatre, and while we think the theme park show does not compare to the staged version, we can not see it ever going away. First of all look at it's run. The (theme park) show opened on the same day as the movie, and that was 20 years ago! Unless Disney creates a broadway production that totally blows Beauty and the Lion King out of the water, This show is here to stay.

No matter how much I'd love to see it close, Finding Nemo the Musical isn't going away any time soon. Splash Mountain won't be going away either although the recent refurb almost made it a new ride. You can accutally see inside now.

I am really loving these "Yesterland" episodes. As much as I like to hear good tips on when to go and what to bring, memories of stuff I remember (and a bunch that I don't) are really awesome! Keep them up!

Disney-free since June 22, 2000. How depressing...

You can see fixtures from the World of Motion attraction in the queue for the Backlot Tour at the Studios, in the warehouse after you've seen Harbor Attack. So far I've spotted some signs from the scene in World of Motion where they were selling chariots and the woman was standing with the centaur, and also there's a horse that I believe is from the traffic jam scene. I know I'm forgetting at least one other thing... I will have to take more pictures next month when I am there. Honestly this is one of the only reasons I still go to the Backlot Tour at all, is to go through that prop room before the tram loading area. --Amy From Kentucky

Matt, I love that idea of a "great moments in Disney history" type of film in the studios, awesome!

What time is the 4 o'clock parade?
