Well Len, looks like that stimulus money finally kicked in and the NC Board of Health is back at work leading to the shutdown of your local bistros. I'm waiitng to see if they pay a visit to the Waffle Shops in Jacksonville, NC. Hey, you ever notice you never see a stray cat hanging around the Waffle House dumpsters? I am SO GEEKED OUT! This episode was truly great . . . in my top 5 if not higher.

Matt, your answer inspired me to doing something unique. Our next "adults" trip to the World is June 20-25. My wife has a conference on that Monday, so I am on my own. I was going to do a park solo, but now I am creating a touring plan to visit all 4 parks, plus a couple resorts WITHOUT ENTERING any of the parks. I plan to shuttle over to the MK for the early opening show (other side of the fence, of course), monorail over to Epcot (that's where Matt's idea sparked my imagination), stroll around and take in some of the entrance music before catching a bus to the Studios, walk from there to Boardwalk area . . . you get the point.
The "essence of WDW" is a truly inspirational topic! Thanks, gentlemen!

This episode got me thinking how I'd respond if anyone had asked me. Given the limits of the show, I'd pick either Frontierland or Asia. To me, the essence of Disneyworld, what sets it apart from any other theme park, is the theming, story-telling, and attractions that the whole family can enjoy together. Plus, if I were showing this to a first-time visitor, I'd want some fun attractions.

I think the theming, attention to detail, and storytelling in Asia are the best of any any of the four parks. There's a headliner, a show (Flights of Wonder), an incredible wildlife exhibit, and a fun water ride. And it's not far from Dinoland, so you could also show how NOT to do a theme park.

In Frontierland, I'd point out the way the land progresses from east to west from Liberty Square to Adventureland and also progresses from the early 1800's to the late 1800's, as well as the seamless integration from Liberty Square to Frontierland to Adventureland. Then you have 2 of the 3 mountains in the Magic Kingdom, which most anyone can enjoy, Tom Sawyer Island, the afternoon parade, and a corny show that was one of Walt's own ideas.
