great show!! I feel that with going once a year, I need to make sure that we don't miss certain things. With our kids being so young (4 and 7), every year brings something different, so it is important to try new things, and keep up with the changes and rehabs/closures can be tough.

One other comment is to encourage folks to check for refurbishments.

You don't want to plan that infrequent trip to find that your favorite attraction
is closed during your visit!

Sadly, this comes from experience.

My First Disneyland Trip, 1973. Pirates of the Caribbean closed.
My Second Disney trip, to WDW in 1983, Pirates of the Caribbean closed.

Yup, a decade and a continent apart--DENIED!
FINALLY in 1988 on my honeymoon, got to ride it a bunch, and lots since.
Planning for a very non-annual guest

Our first (and only so far) trip was in January 2008 with our 4 kids, ages 9,6,3, and 1. We watched the planning DVD from Disney and each person chose their top three attractions in each park, and top 5 things to do overall (like a water park). Based on this information, we made sure we went to each person's most important attraction or event. Thanks to touringplans.com and the awesome plans, we ended up doing everything we wanted and had time to try other things as well. With four kids, our trips are even less frequent than most--probably only every 5 years. But with smart planning and help from you guys, we got to savor every moment we had, and are already looking forward to (and saving for) 2013.
