Per the Polynesian Resort conversation, Rarotonga is a GREAT long house to be in. We had a first floor room with patio facing right out on the quiet pool, and could not have asked for a better location. Easy access to the restaurants, both pools, monorail, TTA, buses, Neverland Club, Beach..... you name it, this is the longhouse to stay in (unless you are going Concierge). I will say, I can't speak for rooms on the other side of the hall in Rarotonga - its possible the monorail/bus noise could be a little louder there, but nothing on the 'inside' facing rooms.

Having a 3 1/2 year old, the Poly was simply ideal. We would monorail or boat back for afternoon naps and dole whips, and watch wishes from the beach every night we weren't in the parks.

I may go broke, but I'll choose Poly almost every time to the World. :)

Sigh.. I was absolutely giddy when I heard the discussion start about #whatwouldscopado, but then was so so sad when I didn't get mentioned :) Anyway, for posterity, here were my suggestions:

@wdwtodaypodcast He would try *one last time* to save those books he missed when Alexandria first burned #whatwouldscopado

@wdwtodaypodcast He'd watch every remaining Story Time with Belle show, and then chain himself to the stage when it closes #whatwouldscopado

Hi guys, thanks for reading my email! A couple of things I need to clear up, though. First, I really DID mean "irrelevant", although the podcast is also always irreverent. I love both of those qualities in your podcast.

Second, I only have 160 DVC points. Due to current family circumstances (very elderly parents), even though I have lots of vacation time, I can only schedule a vacation in the World once or maybe twice a year, and always aware that I might have to cancel at the last second (and lose those points). I always end up banking points into the next year.

And last ... you guys took my email way more seriously than I meant it to be. Assuming I don't have to cancel, I'm already planning to attend the Trails End Meet, the meets during MVMCP, and certainly the Skagway meet!

See you all then!
gateway drug

Hi, I'm Donna from Athens, GA.
I thought the gateway drug topic was interesting. My parents generously took us to WDW at least once a year and I always, always enjoyed it. It was a part of life for us and any other vacation destination wasn't quite enough. However, like Annette, it wasn't until I had my own child that I flipped from fan to fanatic. I simply had to do everything I could on my part to make his experience as perfect as it could be. I already lean towards the obsessive side of crazy, so when I began to plan, I practically overdosed on all the info and resources out there. So it was actually taking the role of parent and planner that opened up a whole new level of magic and enjoyment and satisfaction. Parenting can be funny that way.
