John Mellencamp

I only know this because I'm from Indiana:
John Mellencamp was originally known as Johnny Cougar, then he grew up a little and changed it to John Cougar Mellencamp. Now, as an old man, he's just plain John Mellencamp.

Oh, and Jack & Diane lived in Little Pink Houses.

I believe that two of the movie viewers from the Main Street Cinema ended up being moved into the waiting area in the Main Street Train station.

OK, just listened t the Table issue at the Rose & Crown. Sounds like the CM basically made a mistake and I agree with Matt, I would have got the manager involved.
But, as you guys know, I worked at Yachtsman Steakhouse at the podium for many years and let me try to explain this.
Most restaurants have 2-tops, 4-tops, 5-6 tops, and maybe a 8-top. This does not count when you push tables together to make a large table.
OK, and each restaurant works of a standard template, that dices up the tables into stations.
So, if you are a party of 3, you can easily arrive with 4 and be seated without any problem, because you were obviously planned to be seated at a 4-top table.
And most times a party of 6 will fit where a party of 5 was planned.
But, going from 4 to 5, is a table change, you can't fit 5 ppl at a 4 top.
OK, now, sometimes all of the 2T's, 4T's, and 6T's are all filled. And you walk up with 8ppl.... well just maybe that larger table has been sitting empty. Any greeter would gladly take in a large party to fill an empty large table, if they knew no large party was expected.
Working at YSH, we did our best to accommodate party size changes, but sometimes it just was not possible.
Another thing to consider. As the night progresses, as things slow down, servers are cut from the floor and sent home. So, sometimes you may see an empty table and wonder why you can be seated there. Most times it is because that table has no server, and Disney is very careful about overloading a server with too many tables. They will not risk sub-par service by having a server pick up extra tables. Especially in a place like YSH where you expect the best, attentive service.
Oh, and sometimes when two 4-tops are side by side, they may be in two different server stations. So, sometimes, even tho the tables are next to each other, you cannot push them together.
But, to be refused a size change at the podium, and then to be seated at a table that was too big, unless it was a server issue, it really makes no sense.
I hope this helps.

I hop this helps.
