I think these are so fundamental mistakes that you've not considered anyone daft enough to do them....

For me, the most cardinal mistake when touring is indecisiveness, especially when you've a party that can't decide on a united strategy, but won't split up. I've seen grtoups arguing about what to do first, people argue about whether the posted wait is too long, both whilst people stream past them into the lines, and then before a decision is made the wait times increase, prompting more debate, ands comical viewing.

The other manifestation of this is when you queue in line for a bit, but then somebody in the party decides they can't wait for the bathroom after all, and you end up leaving the line for this or various other reasons, meaning all the time you were stood in it is blatantly wasted, right in front of your face. (you can spot the bitter resentmant of experience in this second scenario if you look really hard!).

A touring dilema that I always see cause discussion is when a ride experiences technical difficulties after you've already stood in line for a bit. Do you wait out, or do you cut and run ? People make mistakes here, but of course hindsight is needed to see the right decision, but it makes good listening, as people discuss the merits.
We had it with Test track last trip, we were quite close to the preshow when it went down, and we waitied it out. The delay was thankfully short, but by the time we got in the pre show it was chaotic, with guests jamming the exit doors to prevent them closing and walking straight through the rooms, filling the load platform to "you're invading my personal space" capacity levels. As we were unloading they had it back under control though and I have been before enough times to not care about the preshow, but i felt for any first timers.

And the number one touring plan mistake, not having one!
