Episode 804 - Feels Like The First Time

I just had to chime in on this great topic. A memory I would love to erase to have all over again would be to see the Main Street Electrical Parade. Everytime I'm in The Magic Kingdom, I'm enthralled by Spectromagic. So even at my current age, to experience the cavalcade of sparkling colored lights and "electrical synthamagnetic sounds" of The Main Street Electrical Parade - AND not having any idea of what I'm about to witness - would be phenomenal.

There goes my bracket. I thought that Scopa would pick "Beauty and the Beast", so that he could fall in love with Belle, all over again.

What about Horizons? No - wait... Never mind.

My picks: MuppetVision 3D or Mickey's Philharmonic - experiencing them for the first time - nice. However, I'm very tempted with superfluffybunny's Main Street Electrical Parade. I loved the TokyoDisneyland version earlier this year...

Great topic.

I would pick Muppets - imagine the jokes and 4d effects for the first time and The Great Movie Ride - think about the gunbattle, Raiders, Wizard of Oz scenes for the first time.

My pick would be the current Journey into Imagination attraction. It's not because the current incarnation is really any good -- it's not. It's because every time I ride that attraction, I feel sad... the original incarnation was so good, so whimsical, so "EPCOT"... and the current one (although not as bad as the previous one) misses the mark by such a margin, it's heartbreaking.

If they only would have "spruced it up" like the last reworking of Spaceship Earth...

How about the Ferry ride from the TTC?

Nothing beats the thrill of clearing the island and seeing the Magic Kingdom in all its glory for the first time...

Expedition Everest- I remember being so surprised at certain moments and I would love that moment again- especially the moments within the mountain

Haunted Mainsion- It is so timeless and the effects are still so good. I would love to re-experience this classic with fresh eyes.

It's either Mickey's Philharmagic or Festival of the Lion King for me. I always try to notice something new in these shows every time I see them. I still remember how wonderful it was seeing them both the first time.

Loved this episode. For me, it has to be Splash Mountain. With its unexpected smaller drops and various locales as well as the sheer volume of work that went into the ride, the best mountain in Disney is always my first, second, third, and fourth destination when I get to The World!

The excitement I felt when rounding the bend after the big drop and seeing the river boat with the lights and the chorus of "Zip-a-dee-do-da" is totally unmatched by any other attraction. It's hard to bring the joy and optimism of WDW to a higher level, but Splash Mountain does that every time. I'd love to relive that first ride of not knowing what is coming next.

The first one I immediately thought of was Fantasmic! To see all of that show for the first time, with the princess floats and the giant riverboat and the dragon and the flaming water, would be magnificent. I already get teary-eyed whenever I go to see it, imagine if I didn't know what was coming!

Also, I love the idea of the Main Street Electrical Parade. But the 2000 version, not the 2010 version, for the music!
Plus the first view of the Magic Kingdom! Great idea!

I'd pick Tower of Terror. I remember how scared and excited I was to do it for the first time. For a show- it would have to be Fantasmic. It is awesome each time but the first time was the best!
