This is a great idea...but I couldn't see them implementing it universally. I'd pick TMK and/or EPCOT, but only at peak periods. Christmas and Easter weeks, for example.

It's not a theme park, but up in Maine there's a retail outlet that's been open 24/7 since the 1960s. They get about 4 million people a year through their doors, and they manage to keep the floors clean, the shelves stocked, and the building maintained through it all.

Disney, with their vast resources, could probably manage for a few days at a time. And I would totally want to see what's going on in there at 3 am!

Very interesting discussion! I wonder how they would implement ticketing, though. Could you enter on a 1-day ticket and just stick around for 5 days?

One possible implementation of this would be to ROTATE between the parks once a week or so. So perhaps on Thursdays the Studios stay open all night (from Opening Thursday through normal time for Closing on Friday); EPCOT opens Friday morning and closes Saturday night; Kingdom Saturday morning thru Sunday night for instance. Minimal affect on maintenance and spreads the offhours resources to a different park each evening.

Not sure why DAK was dismissed right away. To me, that would be one of the most interesting and unique 24-hour experience when compared to the other parks. It's already easy to stay extremely late in all of the other parks. Nighttime hours are difficult to come by in DAK, but really transform the experience when compared with the daytime. Things tend to come alive in the jungles, rainforests, and savannahs when the sun goes down. Nightvision on the safari would be awesome.

If Disney actually made this change, DAK would definitely be last on the list. It's all about attendance. The only way I see it being feasible is if they ran special events or entertainment through the night. Got to convince people to come. Just the mere fact of them being open wouldn't do it.

I'm a night owl, my husband works the graveyard shift. Getting up to get to the parks for rope drop is painful at best. Being at any of the parks at 3am would be heaven! Bring it on!
