I had the soundtrack from the actual ride of Soarin' in my head through the episode (well, up to the end of the show proper).

It is so evocative.

My favorite "What were they thinking" music is contained in the loop played on buses going to DHS. The loop features music from various movies. One of the selections is the overture from Mel Brooks' "The Producers" which prominently features an instrumental version of the song "Springtime for Hitler." Some day I'm going to start singing along just to see the reaction of the other guests on the bus.

I swore I heard the original 1970s Battlestar Galactica theme in the Soarin' queue this weekend.

Really starting to enjoy the Pixar music more and more lately. The Randy Newman influence is very unique.

Just listened to Episode 984, and while I enjoy all the shows, this one really rang true for me. I enjoy the music while in the parks, but the more profound impact it has for me is when I am between visits. I listen to MouseWorld Radio frequently, and the music has the ability to transport me back to a favorite moment in the parks with my family. I found it interesting how when the Soarin track was mentioned, I could instantly hear it in my head! I agree, that is a great piece of music. I also found it interesting that when Mission Space was mentioned, I had no recollection of the music there..... Funny! I know I have heard it, have been to the world 8 times, and have been on Mission Space many times, hmmmm... no memory of that music at all.

Is it just me, or does Van Halen's "Cathedral" sound similar to the Star Tunnel music from Space Mountain?
