Thank you for inviting A.J. to discuss one of my favorite WDW topics! Len pointed out something that I would like to go a bit deeper on--food and wine pairings. If you order the wine pairings with a meal at WDW, you are looking at a cost in the neighborhood of $75 a head. Over the years, we have found the lunch time food and wine pairings offered as part of the F&W Festival to be very reasonable. For example we are attending the Italian Regional lunch this year for $75 each. That will include three or four courses, each paired with wine and the opportunity to learn from the experts. That is very reasonable if you are someone who is interested in expanding your knowledge of wines and experiencing them paired well with food. Last year, we attending the food and Sake pairing luncheon in Japan's Tokyo Dining. I am sorry we are missing that this year. There we had something like six courses, each paired with a different sake. We learned so much about sake AND Japanese culture. It was amazing, awesome and only $55 each!

This will be our third year attending the 3D Dessert Party. I cannot believe that no one mentioned that dessert is only part of the event. The "cordials" are worth the price of admission. That was Jim Beam Red Stag enflaming that doughnut! And there are a variety of other tasty libations to be had. Makes the whole 3D glasses for Illuminations thing extra special--if you know what I mean. Check my facebook picture. That is me, last year, at Illuminations after the 3D party! Woot!
