Thanks so much for covering my question!

On the DVC question, we are DVC members since 2007 and for us the math broke out that we would pay as much for DVC as we would for a week at a moderate every year. To us the room upgrade was totally worth it, but we were pretty sure we'd come to WDW every year.

On the dining plan question, one thing that you need to consider is the value of kids on the meal plan who eat adult amounts of food. My kids are 8 and 9, and last year they never had a counter service kids meal, it was always an adult meal (at a kid price). That makes the dining plan a huge value.
