My wife doesn't usually get a chance to listen to WDW Today, but I had this episode on while she was getting ready to go to work.

It'll be the last episode she listens to. I was actually embarrassed. Had to turn it off.

Whine whine, complain, gripe, moan.

How about something about Walt Disney World, not about you and how you were inconvenienced, disappointed, and annoyed?

1) Mr. Scopa, it is improper to be tipping based on a discounted, for whatever reason, rate. Thus, your server is not getting a 22% tip. She is getting an 18% tip; the management is offering the 20% discount.

2) Here's how to easily explain TiW: You get a 2% discount, and the tip is included.

"A parade slump"??? How about too many? They have parades, street parties clogging up Main Street, USA. 3:00 parades & a nighttime thing are fine; get rid of the rest!

I think that saying a tip is 18% but not on what you are actually paying may be a type of fraud. For example, say a fancy expensive restaurant is celebrating its 90th anniversary by offering (once a day) a lucky person a 90% discount on their super-duper exclusive meal that normally costs $1000. You, being an average earner that would never consider having such a meal, get to be the lucky nightly patron and accept their discounted meal. The bill comes at the end of the meal and you see the charge of $100 for the meal and a second charge of $180 for the tip. No way would you accept this as proper.

What Disney is doing is the same thing except the unjustified cost is only a few dollars per person rather than $162 per person. Multiply this by 1000s of people per day and it becomes quite a potential scandal. The Florida Attorney General loves these types of consumer gouging situations, it's how Charlie Crist got elected governor.
Monorail Operating Policy
Authored by: EAWildman on Wednesday, March 06 2013 @ 07:51 AM CST
It's hard to believe that everyone on the show today somehow forgot that back in 2011, WDW announced a change to the monorail operating hours. It was announced in JULY OF 2011 that the express monorail would only opperate 1 hour after REGULAR MK closing. It would NOT operate after evening extra magic hours or hard ticket events like Night of Joy, the Halloween party or the Chrstmas party. The resort monorail would operate 1 hour after REGULAR MK closing. It would NOT operate after evening extra magic hours but would operate until 30 minutes after a hard ticket event. The reason given at the time was so maintenance could be performed...but it's been a year and a half now and not much maintenance has been done and the policy is still in force.

This is common knowledge at this point. Perhaps you need to get a WDW expert as a regular on your WDW show.
