I was at WDW last week. Maybe we passed each other, Len! I, too, had my TiW not work at Landscape of Flavors (we were there for lunch on Monday) and waited much longer than a few minutes to get a manager to approve the discount. :(
Regarding the FastPass+ comment about not being able to get two FastPasses in one hour, we would get the FastPasses back to back and then go during the last 10 minutes of the first one and then the first 10 minutes of the second one. Thus, we rode Rock n Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror within 20 minutes.
